PW Pride is dedicated to providing hope and support to those who need it most. We are always seeking passionate and dedicated volunteers to assist in our mission. Our organization can make a real difference in the community through the generosity of our volunteers.

EVENT VOLUNTEERS

We are seeking volunteers to help out with upcoming events in fall and winter. Event volunteers are an important part of how we facilitate and coordinate community events. Volunteers will be on-site to help with various tasks around set up, event management or breaking down events. Upcoming events include Huntin’ For Pumpkins and other community partner events in fall and winter 2025. Reach out for more details!

COFFEE CONNECTION HOST

Do you love to host? Hosting a Coffee Connection as a representative of PW Pride is an easy way to connect with the community and get to know others in a casual setting. This volunteer will be responsible for setting up a welcome table and activities, greeting attendees, creating a safe and welcoming environment, and cleaning up the space and materials after each event.

COMMUNITY GROUP OR CLUBS

Want to start a club? Help build activities and safe spaces in our community! This volunteer will act as a representative of PW Pride by facilitating queer-friendly groups or clubs in the Port Washington community. Activities include, but are not limited to dog-walking, hiking, board gaming, or book clubs, depending on the volunteer’s interests.

GRANT RESEARCHER OR WRITER

The grant researcher or writer supports PW Pride by researching grants for funding for the organization and/or helping to write grant applications. This role supports critical financial needs of the organization, to help source available grants, as it’s growing.

FLYER DISTRIBUTION

This volunteer will distribute flyers and other advertising/media items to local businesses. The volunteer will be provided with the necessary flyers and materials as well as a list of businesses to hang flyers.

WEB CONTENT PRODUCER

The web content producer will coordinate with the Board of Directors to keep the pwpride.org website up to date with events and other administrative updates. They will coordinate closely with the Events Director, Marketing Director, and other board members to timely update the site.

PRESS RELEASE ASSISTANT

This volunteer will submit official PW Pride press releases to all contacts on our media contact list. Press releases include event announcements, or other important releases pertinent to the organization.
